Festival, lying on the grass.

Chill Out at the pArt! This festival is not just one of many classical music programmes but a series of free events anyone can pass by or join in if they wish. And they do...

Every evening we witness a holidaymaker who otherwise has no interest in 'classical' music on a stroll stop, lean the bike (s)he has been pushing along against a lamppost, or someone sitting on his wobbly SUP in the water, being captivated by the music. In the blissful moments of a holiday, people forget their bad habits and become open to exploring worlds they previously were not receptive to.

Music compensates for everything, even for the loss of sight; it heals, it dispels fears and anxieties.

says Tamás Érdi, a visually impaired pianist, founder and artistic director of the festival

Our fundamental ambition is that classical music should not only be heard in its traditional milieu but reach others who would otherwise never or rarely listen to centuries-old melodies. Outside the walls of concert halls, the music of Mozart, Chopin or Debussy sounds incredibly fresh, accompanied by the un-composed sounds of frogs, chorus of crickets and sing-along birds. The greatness of the musical masterpieces is demonstrated by the fact that it rivals all raucous sounds of summer and make evenings festive.

The festival features the most renowned Hungarian and foreign artists. In addition to traditional concerts, we want to offer the audience a new kind of musical experience with interactive classical music stand-ups, operatic sessions, discussions on music, dance and salon concerts.

Over nearly a decade, we have witnessed the emergence of a generation of young musicians. From the very beginning, one of our main goals has been to give young talent the opportunity to prove their talent. Former music graduates of the academy of music are now returning to the festival as mature artists.

The podiums on the waterfront seem like the continuation of the lake. The festival also plays at historic sites of outstanding beauty, drawing attention to the architectural gems of the region.
