Modern Műtár (MOMŰ), Balatonfüred - Balaton House of the Year 2023 (Public Building category)

The aim of the Women for Lake Balaton Association and the Balaton Association is to promote quality architecture and showcase exemplary building of the Lake Balaton region by announcing the Balaton House of the Year architectural award competition. Now in its sixth year, the competition was organised with the support of the Ministry of Construction and Transport. This time, 18 entries were submitted to the jury of renowned professional organisations, of which the MOMŰ building in Balatonfüred won the award in the Public Building category.

Green City, Veszprém - BigSEE Architecture 2024

The BigSEE award was founded in Ljubljana. The aim of the award is to recognise excellence in architecture, interior design and the creative industries. Over the years, the BigSEE Architecture Award has grown to become the leading architectural award in Central Europe, representing the creative potential of the region. The Green City in the heart of Veszprém is a green oasis in the area connecting the cultural institutions of the city centre and the area between the Laczkó Dezső Museum and the ActiCity Dance and Movement Centre.

Balatonfüred Congress Centre - BigSEE Architecture 2024 (Cultural Facility category)

The BigSEE award was founded in Ljubljana. The aim of the award is to recognise excellence in architecture, interior design and the creative industries. Over the years, the BigSEE Architecture Award has grown to become the leading architectural award in Central Europe, representing the creative potential of the region. The Balatonfüred Congress Centre - a building complex that blends into the landscape with its green roof design - won the award in the Cultural Facility category.

Veszprém-Balaton 2023 European Capital of Culture programme - Melina Mercouri International Award

The award, named after actress Melina Mercouri, one-time Minister of Culture of Greece and the initiator of the ECOC programme, is given for the period leading up to the ECOC year in the cities that are awarded the title and was also awarded to Veszprém in 2023.

Website of the Year 2023 (Culture category Special Award)

The Website of the Year competition is a non-profit professional competition of the Internet Section of the Hungarian Marketing Association, which every year seeks and awards the best Hungarian-language websites and other digital marketing solutions developed by Hungarian companies. In 2023, veszprembalaton2023.hu won the special prize in the Culture category.

Hello Wood – Garden of Communities in the Factory'ard Culture Park - BIG SEE Wood Design Award 2023 – Grand Prix

The BigSEE award was founded in Ljubljana. The aim of the award is to recognise excellence in architecture, interior design and the creative industries. Over the years, the BigSEE Architecture Award has grown to become the leading architectural award in Central Europe, representing the creative potential of the region. In 2023, the Garden of Communities, designed by Hello Wood's team of architects, was named "Winner's Winner", winning a Grand Prix award for the best architectural and design projects made of wood.

Special Award of the Hungarian Association of Landscape Architects 2023

The aim of the Landscape Architecture Excellence Award is to recognise works that enhance the recognition of landscape architecture, that, in addition to their novelty, technical and aesthetic excellence, have values that go beyond them, protect existing values, and follow or conform to the principles of sustainable development. In 2023, the primary criterion for the assessment was the existence of an ecological approach. The Garden of Communities won a Special Prize in the competition.

Balatorium - Music Hungary: Innovation Award 2023

The Music Hungary Association presents a prestigious professional award to outstanding talents and professionals in popular music, from musicians to performers to those working behind the scenes. The Music Hungary Award was established to draw more attention to the music sector and to recognise outstanding achievements. In 2023, our Balatorium project on the ecological challenges facing Lake Balaton and its environment won the Innovation Award, which raised awareness of key issues by creating a music album, among other things.

INOTA Festival - Music Hungary: Visual Award 2023

The Music Hungary Association presents a prestigious professional award to outstanding talents and professionals in popular music, from musicians to performers to those working behind the scenes. The Music Hungary Award was established to draw more attention to the music sector and to recognise outstanding achievements. In 2023, the festival with the best visuals was INOTA Festival.

Basalt School - OTP Fáy Education Innovation Award 2023 Bronze Grade

 

The OTP Fáy Education Innovation Award. The aim of the Award is to recognise, support and promote outstanding practices and innovative solutions in the field of educational tools and methodologies. In 2023, the Basalt School and its special teaching methodology, which allows children to develop their skills and try out community planning practices outdoors, was awarded a Bronze Grade.

Reading Cabin in Csingervölgy - Media Architecture Awards 2023 - Audience Award in the Built Environment category

The award, founded by the Építészfórum (Architectural Forum), has been presenting the most exciting and outstanding works of contemporary Hungarian architecture for two decades. In 2023, a jury of international experts selected the winners from nearly 200 entries. In 2023, VEB2023 and MOME's joint project, the modern Reading Cabinet in Csingervölgy, won the Audience Award in the Built Environment category.

VEB2023 ECOC - Shine! Opening Show - Eventex Awards 2024 silver medal

Founded in 2009 to celebrate creativity, innovation and efficiency, the Eventex Awards are the most prestigious international awards in the world of events and experiential marketing. The Shine! Opening Show scored 92 out of a maximum of 100 points and won the silver medal thanks to its impressive visuals and complexity.

10 Months, 10 Challenges programme - Green Destinations Tallinn 2023 TOP100

The "10 Months - 10 Challenges" programme of the Municipality of Veszprém, the VEB2023 ECOC programme and the institutions of the City of Veszprém was awarded last October in Tallinn, at the annual world meeting of the international organisation Green Destinations. Selected as one of the TOP100 sustainability success stories by the organisation, the complex citywide project aimed to improve services and raise awareness of sustainability among the local community and visiting tourists.
