Bondoró Street Theatre Festival
The public first became aware of Bondoró as Hungary's only street theatre festival in 2019, and it still continues to bring us a colourful, fun-filled cavalcade in its fifth year. We aim to promote the street theatre genre on a broad scale and create an internationally recognised platform for Hungarian street artists. Indeed, Bondoró can become one of the most prominent European centres of the international street theatre scene.
Billed as a summer festival, Bondoró will offer a vast repertoire of street theatre acts: artists and jugglers, clowns and mimes, circus and new circus performances, stilt walkers, puppets, giant puppets and strolling attractions. But there are also concerts and exhibitions, marionette shows and illuminated puppets, shadow theatre and fire shows. And, of course, something happens every moment to bring a smile to the face of all who pass by. The unique and unrepeatable moments of fun are guaranteed to captivate viewers. The festival offers more international attractions each year: in 2022, 13 foreign acts were on the programme. Their list is sure to grow longer in 2023.
The Bondoró Festival is a traditional summer event for families interested in culture and arts. It is an all-around arts festival where people of all ages can find a programme to suit, be it a puppet show, a fairy-tale night, a parade, a street music show, a new circus event or a big concert. Families, children, their parents and young adults are sure to find a programme to their liking.
