Forest Mystery
Playing Among the Legendary White Cypresses of Hévíz.
The Mysterium in the Woods takes us into the Hévíz protection forests and the Egregy museum gardens. Already launched in 2022, the focus of this programme series is creating harmony between nature, man and art. In the extraordinary environment surrounding Hévíz Lake, all-around ecocultural art events will be organised in a sustainable, close-to-nature manner between April and October.
Visitors will discover the sounds of trees, birds, wind and water in the hidden corners of the Hévíz protection forest through micro-concerts or by attending theatre and children's performances. On weekdays, guests may sign up for geobotanic tours or to produce artwork in the nature art workshops in the forest. Moreover, performances will be organised to raise awareness of the local values and characteristics of the landscape.
The highlight of the series of events will be the four-day pART Eco Festival in the Egregy museum gardens in August. Following a sunrise yoga session at dawn, visitors will enjoy a picnic atmosphere with interactive workshops, sound, light, dance, smile and movement therapy, unplugged concerts and a meteor shower at nighttime.
This exemplary project will show that the Hévíz protection forest is not simply a breathing organ in the centre of the town. In addition to the unrepeatable experience of unique events, the programmes will show that the forest can be a living space, a museum, an exhibition area, a zoo and botanical garden, a theatre and a concert hall, a part of our lives and a stage – all at one and the same time.
