Shared Spaces in Kisapáti
In the third year of the Community, Space and Settlement Programme, twelve students of architecture, community organisation and related studies and their mentors have involved themselves in everyday life of Kisapáti for almost a year.
They study the municipality’s past and present and contribute to its future in small but meaningful ways, applying the instruments of their future profession. They do community planning and building, using mutually complementary architectural and community development tools to strengthen the local community and democracy. By the time the programme ends, not only will an outdoor youth community space be completed, but the process will also bring the community, the village and the mountain closer together.
