Balaton Wine & Gourmet!
Balaton Wine & Gourmet is the largest gastronomic undertaking of the Veszprém-Balaton 2023 European Capital of Culture series, where, along with an international perspective, the culinary heritage of the region and the country, its wine-making traditions and the increasingly exciting present and possible development paths of gastronomy are at the centre of attention.
Balaton Wine & Gourmet is not only a festival, but also a meeting point for local, regional, national and international culinary scene professionals and interested visitors.
An exciting fair and a celebration of fine wines and exquisite food, where the region's gastronomy and the world's outstanding culinary and wine-making nations are likewise presented.
The festival is planned to take place in Veszprém Valley, one of the most beautiful parts of the city. The green area, itself a tempting place for outings and family walks, is the perfect choice to be transformed into a lively meeting place for gastronomy lovers for a few days.
The festival offers great drinks, excellent food and a social and professional experience - all at the same time. With a tradition-making intention, the festival would be held every year on the first weekend of September, with a dedicated professional day on Thursday and an event open to the public from Friday to Sunday.
