Location description
This year it is for the third time that Garten Balaton contemporary art weeks is organized, with three villages on the north coast of Lake Balaton taking part: Lovas, Felsőörs and Csopak. Like in previous years, contemporary fine art, sculpture and photography are the focus of the event series. The aim of the string of programmes which also includes exhibitions is to bring contemporary fine art close its recipients and catalyse the microregion’s cultural life with the involvement of local cultural actors. During the three-week event series seven exhibitions and two public installations will come to stand, complemented by a number of programmes of the related arts. Lovas will see the exhibition hall of the Nagy Gyula Gallery as the location of the Garten Balaton art fair, where curators have chosen to exhibit almost 300 works by 100 contemporary fine artists, responses to the catchword Határaink (Our Boundaries).
