Listen to an Italian symphony orchestra, a Swiss quartet on the next stage, and then on to the brass band from Veszprém or a rock band from Kisvárda! Be there when the stars of the future of classical and popular music are discovered!

Bárdos Lajos Elementary School and Grammar School, formerly known as Elementary School for Singing and Music, started its operation in 1965. In the 2009-2010 school year, it joined the musical family of the Bárdos Schools.

More than 5 decades of advanced vocal music education and a rich choral life have helped students to develop their artistic talents and spend their free time in a rewarding way.

Excellent choirmasters have given and continue to give outstanding musical training at the school: Anna Hamvas, Rita Kyncl, Judit Hasznosi, and Eleonóra Pintér.

Currently, the school has three choirs, where music-loving children can learn about classical works of music history and delight audiences with their performances at concerts.

Eleonóra Pintér has led the two choirs of 12-18 year olds for 37 years. She and her students have performed at the Liszt Academy of Music, Vigadó and the Hungarian State Opera on several occasions.

Among their many trips abroad, they have given concerts in St. Peter's Basilica in Italy, the European Parliament in Strasbourg, Crikvenica in Croatia and in Transylvania. Their folklore shows have also been well received in the Baltic States and Slovenia. Both their religious and secular performances have been very well received.
