International cooperation - Interreg ECOC Echo project
Nine European countries work together to strengthen the heritage of the European Capital of Culture programmes
Nine European countries have launched a joint initiative to strengthen the long-term impact of the European Capital of Culture (ECoC) programme on regional development beyond the year of the title. The ECoC Echo project focuses on solutions to help maintain and build on the momentum created during the title's tenure, fostering growth in the cultural sector, regional development and international cooperation.
The project is co-funded by the European Union's Interreg Europe programme, which supports cooperation between European regions and helps to develop better policies. The Hungarian partner's participation in the project is co-financed by the Hungarian State.
