Listen to an Italian symphony orchestra, a Swiss quartet on the next stage, and then on to the brass band from Veszprém or a rock band from Kisvárda! Be there when the stars of the future of classical and popular music are discovered!
The orchestra of Irinyi János Elementary School and Primary Art School, Irinyi Wind Orchestra is one of the most influential cultural groups in Balatonfűzfő and the region. The orchestra was founded in 2007 and its founding conductor is trumpet teacher and chamber musician Ákos Hégely. Its members include music students and teachers from the school, but it also offers students from music schools in the area the opportunity to play together.
The orchestra has performed in most municipalities in the region at state festivals, city celebrations and festivals. Their repertoire is very broad, ranging from classical wind music to popular music.
The 15-year-old youth orchestra is currently preparing a major jubilee gala concert.
To mark the occasion, a joint production with the folk dance ensemble of the Irinyi PAS has been created and will be presented at MusiColoursFestival.
The folk dance group was founded only a few years ago, and its leader and choreographer is Bence Váradi. Since its formation, it has played an important role in the life of the area, and is invited to and welcome at many town events together with the orchestra.
