Listen to an Italian symphony orchestra, a Swiss quartet on the next stage, and then on to the brass band from Veszprém or a rock band from Kisvárda. Be there when the stars of the future of classical and popular music are discovered.

Choir singing has played a prominent role throughout the school's history, as Ilona Andor's famous choir used to perform here. Today, it is very difficult to keep a grammar school choir alive, but they are proud to have had regular rehearsals since 2017, except for the forced two-year break of Covid. On Fridays, when students try to leave the school as soon as possible after their last class, choir members gather for rehearsals from 15.00 to 16.30, even if it means having to wait for 2 hours. Choir membership is entirely voluntary, and everyone is free to join or leave the choir as they choose. The choir is stable at 40-50 members.

They usually give Christmas and end-of-year concerts for students, teachers and interested parents, but they have also given concerts in Vienna and Prague during the Advent season, and participated in the 2019 Tuzla International Choir Competition for amateur choirs.

They are very proud of their most recent achievement: in April. KÓTA organised the Singing Youth Qualifying Competition, where their choir was awarded a gold diploma and the Choir of the Year title.

The choir's director, Gizella Gróf Füredyné, herself a former Leövey student, is enthusiastic about bringing the team together and enriching our secondary school years through music.
