Marót Viki és a Nova Kultúr Zenekar have been composing songs for nearly twenty years as the top proponents of progressive retrospection in Hungary. The uniqueness of their songs lies in the ever-changing fusion of old and new elements. Their repertoire includes many songs born "at the dawn of the transistor age" and quite a few very recent ones, all of which are written in the band's unique, energetic musical style. The band's singer is Viki Marót, whose style and distinctive singing voice have made her a singular phenomenon on the Hungarian music scene. The band's leader is Gábor Novai, former member and songwriter of the legendary Generál, Dolly Roll and Hungária bands.
