Muddy Shoes // Veszprém Blues Festival
The band moves across a wide range of the blues genre. From the acoustic world of the early 20th century through urban blues to more modern, original compositions. The line-up has remained unchanged since the band's formation.
The band was founded in 1996 by Jenő Fekete, the guitarist-singer-frontman of Palermo Boogie Gang, and Szabolcs Nagy, who was already well known in the blues scene. The duo was joined by István Mezőfi 'Fifi' on drums, also from PBG, and Csaba Pengő on double bass. The first album 'The Real Shuffling Hungarians' was also released in the same year. Muddy Shoes have played many concerts home and abroad, and have toured many countries in Europe. The band has also accompanied blues greats like Louisiana Red and Grammy Award winner Sugar Blue. Their second album entitled 'Cool' was released in 2004.
The band members are Jenő Fekete: vocals, guitars; Szabolcs Nagy: piano; Csaba Pengő: double bass, bass guitar; and István 'Fifi' Mezőfi: drums
