Come and Shine!

For more than a decade, Tapolca Festive Days has been the biggest end-of-summer party in Tapolca. Between 16th and 19th August 2023, in the days leading up to our biggest national holiday, the European Capital of Culture project will further expand the cultural offer of the event. VEB2023 ECoC has provided the opportunity to renew the event in terms of its appearance, content and cultural diversity, with a significant change of scale. What does this mean in practice? In addition to music, it means adding literature of a thousand faces, a new stage, another art form, but presented in the most exciting way possible. Partly in the context of the Petőfi 200 commemorative year, literature will leave the walls of cultural and educational institutions on this year's festive days to show itself to the public in a spectacular way, delight, create value, give knowledge and wisdom, and party with its old loves: music, dance and theatre. For four days, in the early evening hours, local and nationally renowned poets, writers, singers, musicians, dancers and actors will take to two stages, each with a new look. Neoton, Bon Bon, Irigy Hónaljmirigy, Jag projekt and Kowalsky meg a Vega or New Level Empire will bring in a festival atmosphere.  Would you like to get on the imaginary train of poetry and music with Zoli Beck and Krisztián Grecsó, or would you prefer to go on a literary walk with Péter István Németh? Are you curious about the thoughts of Dániel Varró? Would you like to evoke the spirit of Ágnes Nemes Nagy with Miklós H. Vecsei?...  Come and shine in Tapolca!
