Rézeleje Fanfares / Veszprém Folk 2023
Csángó boogie – Moldavian barn dance
Dances taught by Bálint Bölcsföldi.
As Rézeleje Fanfares we have been playing together since 2020, mainly Moldavian dance music. In our barn dancing programmes and concerts we evoke the atmosphere of how folk melodies live on in their original medium in modern times: played on modern instruments, mixed with the melodies of popular "muzică populară". In addition to the Moldavian dance music that forms the backbone of our repertoire, we also take a look at the music of the Carpathian Basin, Romania and the Balkans. We are the only band in Hungary to use the trumpet and the trombone in this genre, which makes our sound unique among other bands playing in a similar style.
