Every May, the largest multidisciplinary arts festival in the City of Queens fills the streets of the castle quarter and the city centre with a colourful cavalcade of free music, art, theatre, literature and family events.

Krisztián Szűcs has been an emblematic figure in the alternative music scene since the 90s, and is a founding member of Heaven Street Seven (HS7). As the band's frontman, he has recorded many huge hits, but has also worked with Neo and Yonderboi. The singer-guitarist has come a long way from the alternative club scene to the Budapest Bár, with whom he often performs. In 2015, he was voted the 2015 Songwriter of the Year for Popular Music for his song "Húszezer éjszakás kaland", which he wrote especially for the Budapest Bár.

In spring 2022, he released his first solo album, Vízválasztó. The sound and structure of the album goes all the way back to the early days of HS7, with songs that evoke the Manchester popular music scene of the 1980s, with lyrics in Hungarian.

And what is even more important than the musical forms is the increasingly prominent theme in Szűcs' solo songs, that instead of constantly pointing outwards, we should face ourselves and the fact that we live in times when we as individuals and as a community have to decide on burning issues that our predecessors could sweep under the carpet, but we will no longer be able to do so. The more intimate, free and interactive duo line-up, featuring pianist, vocalist and comedian Dávid Benkő alongside Krisztián, may be more effective than the 'normal' band line-up in conveying the energy of change, certainly not in a cautious or humourless way.
