Two thousand twenty-three Keep Shining!
2023 was a milestone year both for Veszprém and the Bakony-Balaton region as well as the people living here, the artists working here, and visitors to the region.
Years of preparation followed by a vast array of programmes and joint work with regional actors have resulted in the emergence of a creative-cultural community that lasts beyond a single year. The ECoC programme has become fertile ground, inspiration and an ever-expanding platform for the cultural life of Veszprém and the Bakony-Balaton region and for the daily lives of its inhabitants and visitors. As such, not only did it play a decisive role in the past, but keeps impacting the present and the future for all of us.
It is this impulse which is captured and explored in an engaging, creative and entertaining way at the 'Keep Shining! - Europe's Cultural Creative Region Two Thousand Twenty-Three: Memories of a Title Year, the Future of a Region' exhibition. Featuring installations by collaborating artists, personal reflections by participants and thrilling behind-the-scenes stories, the exhibition presents the course of the Veszprém-Balaton 2023 European Capital of Culture programme from its inception to the present day.
The "two thousand and twenty-three Keep Shining!" exhibition can be visited from June 22 to August 25 in the House of Arts Veszprém.
