GYULAKESZI, CSIGÓ MILL
The multidisciplinary arts theme will take you behind the scenes of classical music, visual arts and collecting. Our primary focus is on bringing artists from the region closer to the public.
Within the classical music theme, we organise informative instrument exhibitions, demonstrations, workshops, music quizzes, lectures and illustrative concerts. As part of the educational programme, Éva Csermák, a violinist living and teaching in Berlin, will hold an International Music Course in Hegymagas for her young students, who will also perform for the audience of the Csigó Mill.
The Balaton Uplands is also a place of inspiration for many artists. The renowned artist couple - painter Áron Gábor and sculptor and ceramist Zsuzsa G. Heller - have been working in Badacsonytomaj for decades. The theme of OPEN STUDIOS will allow visitors to get to know them better, and they will also visit other artists during the festival in the Tapolca Basin.
For more than two decades, art collector Ákos Vörösváry has played a key community-shaping role in the cultural life of the region. As the artistic director of the First Hungarian Spectacle Collection in Tapolca-Diszel, he offers visitors an unusual intellectual and aesthetic experience with his unique, thematic exhibitions, which are held annually.
