András Horváth is an architect, lead designer at Horváth and Patartics Architecture Studio, and Vice President of the South Transdanubian Chamber of Architects. In addition to his design and chamber activities, he served as the chief architect of the city of Paks for 21 years. He is a member of the European Cultural Parliament. He played a key role in the preparatory work for the Pécs2010 European Capital of Culture (ECoC) programme as well as in the activation and moderation of civil communities. In 2006, he organised and led the Council for Architecture and Urban Image. Between 2009 and 2011, he and his colleagues successfully conducted the ‘Architecture and Context’ programme series, which included seven major projects and over 30 public events.
