Tibor Navracsics

He has been working in Hungarian and European politics for 18 years. Since 2006, with a few years of interruption, he has been an MP, and has also served as a parliamentary floor leader, minister and European Union Commissioner. Before his political career, he worked as a university lecturer and still teaches political science at ELTE (Eötvös Loránd University). He is also Head of the Europe Strategy Research Institute at Ludovika University of Public Service. Currently, he deals with cultural, economic, public administration, and regional development issues – he was also responsible for the Veszprém-Balaton 2023 European Capital of Culture programme. Since 1st January 2024, he holds the postition of Minister of Public Administration and Regional Development.
